- Sagar Shrestha is a freelance Photojournalist who has been practicing the trade for the past 14 years. He was born in Kathmandu in 1970 and has since traveled the breadth and distance of Nepal. Shrestha ventured into the world of photography while still in school but his first professional gig came in 1996 when he started to work with a Nepali daily paper Himalaya Times. At the same time he also began working for Bimochan, a monthly magazine. From 1997 he joined Saptahik and Sarbottam. Then in 2000, Space Time hired him. From 2003 to 2005, he was with Nepal Samacharpatra Nepali daily. At present, Shrestha is affiliated with Independent News Service (INS) and UNMIN. His other clients have included OHCHR, DFID, PANOS South Asia, The Carter Center, and others. Shrestha has won many awards including consolation Prize at the Asia Pacific Photo Competition in Japan in 2000, Prize of Excellence in Asia Pacific Photo Competition in Japan in 2001, Grand Prize Winner of National Press Photo Contest organized by NFPJ in 2007. www.Sagarshrestha.com.np

Abstract
King Bikramaditya has started the solar calendar some two thousand years ago as a Bikram Sambat. The first day of Bikram Sambat (Nepal New Year) Old city of Nepal Bhaktapur, which is 15 Kilometers east of Capital Kathmandu will celebrate this festival for four days. During this festival local people of Bhaktapur erect tall wooden called "Yosin" in main squares as a symbol of victory in Mahabharata.
